There are lots of opportunities for your career coach to get to know you! Get personalized career advice in 1:1 appointments, or participate in workshops to learn interview skills, resume-writing, and LinkedIn best practices, to name a few.

Jun. 2 - 16 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Led by experts from Mollard Consulting, this course offers an in-depth look at the essential role of fundraising in nonprofit success. Students will explore the fundamentals of fundraising, debunk common myths, and learn how to use data to inform strategies and strengthen donor relationships. Through interactive lectures, real-world examples, and hands-on activities, participants will gain the skills and insights needed to create impactful and sustainable fundraising strategies.

Jun. 2 - Jul. 7 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Curious about how brands get influencers to post about their products or how your favorite influencers get those sponsored posts and PR packages? In this program, you'll step into the world of influencer marketing and learn how brands build and launch campaigns. Not only will you learn the foundations of an influencer campaign, you'll also get to exclusively collaborate with a real brand as your client for the duration of the program.

In this program, you will learn key financial concepts such as balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, working capital, budgeting, forecasting, and more. You will also gain applicable skills used in a variety of finance professions. This program will teach you how to speak the language of finance by focusing on applying knowledge, financial up-skilling, and mimicking on-the-job training.

Through hands-on projects in an experiential learning environment, you’ll learn to position brands effectively and develop strong brand identities tailored to target market segments. Examine brand management techniques that successful brands use to build equity and sustain growth, and gain insight into measuring brand value using tools trusted by top global brands.

A comprehensive introduction to artificial intelligence.

Jun. 4 - 25 5:30pm - 7:00pm

In this program, we will explore how to market to your target audience through a variety of channels in the larger digital marketing landscape. From identifying your ideal customer profile, segmentation, and creative execution, this course will help you understand how to communicate effectively from your website to social media properties with a strategic content marketing plan in mind.

Recruiting for careers and internships

Students can participate in on-campus employer recruiting programs and they can connect directly with employers, and learn about internship opportunities. Students can also get information about their professional interests through on-campus informational sessions, interviews, trips, and networking opportunities across the US.

Career-infused classroom learning

Denison provides career liaisons and career exploration and outcome programming to our faculty to help students articulate the workplace relevance of their coursework experience.

Flexible opportunities for student athletes

Denison brings career coaching directly to student-athletes to engage in career preparation while juggling demanding practice and competition schedules. Through workshops brought directly to the Mitchell Center and direct collaboration with teams, Career Coaches help students articulate and leverage their experiences as student-athlete in their career-planning journey.

Skill-building for student employees

On-campus jobs provide students the opportunity to develop personally and professionally while gaining skills that will help as they launch into careers post-Denison. A special student employment career series offers interactive workshops to student employees to leverage their on-campus employment as they become career ready.
